A Wisp of Hope

Where
the blight of night
bleeds worn
where winds and waters sleep
where expectant dew explodes
and fog escapes the deep
a wisp of hope
begins to stir
the glassy moonlit tide
and angered waves collide
with dawn’s first splash of light
roused rays of life
flood in
where frozen hearts once blazed
where swelling tears erupt then turn
into a boom of praise!
