Sunbeams Explode

Daylight seeps
through ling’ring mist
toward the dead cold
sleeping ground
melding what was
and is
and is to come
then floats
and swirls
and twirls and spins
and laughs and sings in praise
as night takes its final black breath.
Vibrant sunlight suddenly explodes
filling crags and crevices of old
and one fresh gaping hole
with mounting marvel
and fragrant hope.
He’s not here!

He has

  1. I really love this one. Of course I do love them all, but this one I really love. I think it captures creation’s joy for the resurrection.

  2. Once again beautiful! I couldn’t help but notice the poem’s structure is almost like an arrow pointing us at the scripture.

Blessings to you, too, this Easter weekend!

  3. Amen! What a wonderful poem!
He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! :-)

If you don’t like the Sonshine… you must be a bug!

God bless and have a great Easter :-)
